ABOUT THE ACADEMY
JS Academy for the Deaf is a project of Noor-e-Ali Trust, CDGK, established in 2004 with the aim of providing quality education to Deaf children. The Academy uses the Total Communication approach, with a strong focus on sign language—the natural and first language of the Deaf community.
The Academy is professionally managed by a Governing Body and supervised by a Board of Trustees. JS Academy is officially registered with the following institutions:
• Board of Secondary Education, Karachi
• Intermediate Board of Education
• University of Karachi
• Government of Sindh – Literacy and Education Department
• Sindh Education Foundation (SEF)
• Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities (DEPD)
